Palm Tree Crew’s New Venture: A Unique Blend of Music and Hospitality in Miami

Palm Tree Crew, the global live events business founded by DJ Kygo, is making a significant move into the hotel industry with the opening of its first hospitality concept in Miami.

The new “music-focused” Palm Tree Club, developed in collaboration with Miami-based firm Continuum Company, is set to take over the site of Shuckers Waterfront Grill & Hotel on North Bay Village island, just minutes from Miami Beach. This announcement was made through a release obtained by Hotel Dive.

Managed by Highgate, the Palm Tree Club will boast a 118-suite hotel, a waterfront restaurant, a 20-boat slip marina with dine-and-dock services, and a pool. The property will also host curated music events, blending the vibrant energy of festival culture with the relaxed atmosphere of luxury hospitality.

Michael Diaz, CEO of Palm Tree Crew, expressed his excitement about the venture, stating, “Curating a lifestyle platform for our customers through live events and festivals has been thrilling, and we’ve found our audience craving more. This expansion into hospitality is a natural evolution for our brand.”

The launch of Palm Tree Club comes at a time when leisure travelers are increasingly seeking experiential trips, driving demand for luxury and lifestyle accommodations.

Co-Founder Myles Shear highlighted the distinctive nature of the project, saying, “Palm Tree Club will be more than just a place to eat and stay; it will be a destination that captures the energy, creativity, and entertainment that Palm Tree Crew stands for.”

Palm Tree Crew will oversee the redesign, programming, and creative direction of Palm Tree Club, while Continuum Company will handle the property’s redevelopment.

Kygo’s signature sound, characterized by smooth melodies and uplifting beats, has earned him a massive following and a prominent place in the electronic music scene. His ability to connect with audiences through music has now inspired him to create immersive experiences that extend beyond the concert stage.

Miami is witnessing a boom in mixed-use hospitality projects, with Palm Tree Club joining notable developments like the Hyatt Regency Miami’s redevelopment and the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and Residences. The city’s resurgence in business travel and the growing trend of experiential leisure trips have created an ideal environment for Palm Tree Crew’s innovative venture.

Palm Tree Club promises to be a unique destination that encapsulates the vibrant spirit of Miami, offering guests an unparalleled blend of music, luxury, and laid-back hospitality. As Palm Tree Crew ventures into this new territory, it aims to redefine the hospitality experience by infusing it with the energy and creativity that have made Kygo’s music a global sensation.
